My family and I had an outstanding time out of the water with Casey. She was very friendly and we caught a huge snapper that we ate for dinner at a local restaurant. We also hooked up on 2 sharks. Absolutely unforgettable experience! Went out on a shark fishing trip and it was hands down one of the most thrilling adventures I’ve ever had. Jim was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and made sure everyone felt safe and confident. We hooked into a few big ones and even got to catch and release a massive nurse shark and lemon shark—what a rush! The boat was clean, well-equipped, and the vibes were great all around. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or just looking for a wild story to tell, this is something you have to try. Can’t wait to go again!

My family talked me into the double decker pontoon instead of a real fishing boat but I’m glad they did, it was a great time! Kasey and her four legged first mate, Kylie, were the best. She put us on the snappers, we just couldn’t catch them… but we still managed a couple keepers. Snorkeling and swim was better than I expected. Good compromise for the whole family.

We didn't fish on Loose Cannon's Charter's; we were rescued by them! We set out for a day of mahi fishing when all our electronics and engine failed. The battery switch on our boat went bad causing our engine to turn off and we lost all electronics. We were completely dead in the water. Thankfully, I saw a boat in the distance and kept waving for help. The Loose Cannon from Manicsportsfishing Charters came to our rescue. Captain Shad boarded our boat ready to do everything in his power to help us. He diagnosed the issue, thought of a way to resolve, and after about 30 minutes he FIXED IT! Mate Aaron was keeping our boats safely tethered together, retrieving tools from the Loose Cannon to help Shad and telling us no worries "we got this"! And they did. I can't thank Shad and Aaron enough! We tried to pay them, but they refused saying that is what we do! "Help each other". I spoke with the owner tonight about the incident. This outfit is ethical, responsible and skilled! Next time, I'm leaving my boat at home (we trailered from Daytona) and chartering the Loose Cannon asking specifically for Captain Shad and Aaron! Thank you so much!

We went out yesterday with Captain Jim and had a great time fishing for mangrove snapper and sharks! We got to touch a lemon shark and enjoyed tasty fish tacos for dinner! Captain Jim was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area and conditions. Had an amazing time with Capt. Jim at the end of February. Immediately got us on a school of jacks, then on at least a dozen yellow tail snappers, a cobia, a nurse shark, and even a remora. Gotta say, despite being an Eagles fan, Jim was awesome - very knowledgeable and personable. My son and I had a great time and will definitely book again the next time we’re on the Keys.

We went out with Captain Brian and had a great day. Took us to a great spot where we caught a lot of fish, and was really helpful with our 10 year old. Then took us to a beautiful spot to swim, it was an overall awesome day.

We went out with Captain Brian for a four hour fishing and swimming combo trip. Brian was very knowledgeable and worked very hard to make sure we had a great time. It was an especially windy day so he knew several spots that were sheltered from the wind and it helped us tremendously. He also had great recommendations on how to catch the fish and we even caught a few big enough to keep! We took those to a local restaurant and had a great lunch from what we caught! Would definitely recommend the company and Captain Brian for any trips they offer!! Can’t wait to do it again next year!

We went out with Jim today on a shark fishing charter and had a great time. Caught several sharks one being a 250 pounder. We caught several snapper and mackerel and even a cobia while waiting between shark bites. Great captain and took very good care of us.

If you don't mind ruining your fishing expectations for years to come, you should book with these guys. I was impressed with the patience and grace of Captain Jim with our kids who are 8, 8 and 10, very competitive and happy to terrorize each other. Without hesitation, Jim quietly and calmly prepared hook after hook as he helped each of them reel in more snappers than I could have imagined. The boat is pristine and the ride out in the bay was delightful. The kids were thrilled and sad to think we were not going to catch fish like that back home! I would go back again and again instead of trying to haul our boat and hope that we got good coordinates from other friends to fish. The process of having an experienced fishing captain that nailed it was priceless! Thanks again for everything!

Our family booked a 4 hour reef fishing charter. It was the HIGHLIGHT of our trip. Manic Sport Fishing was professional, easy to use and accommodating. All we did was show up with some snacks and they had ensured we had an unforgettable time. They worked so hard to make sure the kids and adults relaxed or caught as many fish as able. Worth every penny! What a fantastic morning on the water with Manic Sport Fishing. I called the office about 2 months ago, seeking guidance for the best type of trip for our family of novice fisherman (well, aspiring teenage fisherman and mom & dad who just want to chill and watch). The owner assured me that the more I shared about what we were looking for, the better match he could make for us, giving us honest feedback about the best activities for this time of year (over Christmas). The day of our charter, Capt. Jim had it all under control, endlessly baiting hooks, providing guidance and encouragement to our boys, who were beaming with pride (especially the one who thought he’d “just come along to watch”). Capt. Jim showed us all how to fillet the fish and, when asked, shared one of his favorite restaurants that he promised would turn our “cook your catch” into some of the best fish we’ve ever had. Turned out he was 100% spot on and our kids couldn’t have been more proud that our entire family dined on the fish they caught today. The rest of the day our kids kept thanking us for doing this. Memories for a lifetime.

Awesome experience with captain Jim during a December long weekend fishing trip to Marathon key with my son, Jamie. Weather kept us in the bay but Jim knew where to go to put us on fish. We caught multiple Mangrove snapper (5 keepers), cero and Spanish mackerel, young Goliath grouper, and blue fish. Jamie had a blast fighting and actually landing an 8 foot shark. That fight and experience will last forever - as his first big fish catch. Looking forward to the next visit and getting out to the reef with Captain Jim. Thank you.

Captain Kim is very knowledgeable and personalized to our trip! He cares about my wife's motion sickness and found us a calm water to fish. Absolutely 5 star experience, with various types of species we fished, fun time! snappers, mackerel, shark, etc. we also contract a fish taxidermy with them and really look forward to the result!

Great day out on the water with Capt. Shad and 1st mate Aaron. Very understanding and considerate that we had a person in our group who on occasion can get sea sick, adjusted fishing locations accordingly. Had us on fish at the first stop, and continued to seek out the “big one”. Very friendly guys and laid back atmosphere. Boat was awesome, also had a bathroom which is one of the reasons we chose them. Have to also thank Frank for giving us a call the day before to confirm and get specifics for the trip, love the organization and care for the clients. It was a great day of fishing with a great crew. We were fishing within 5 minutes of leaving the dock which was great for the kids. We caught our limit of yellowtail within the 1st hour. We caught , tuna, mackerel and few sharks. We even had a visit from a friendly loggerhead turtle. My 13 year old and 11 year had a great day, and didn’t want our 6 hour trip to end. They even asked us what we wanted to fish for and tailored the trip based on what we were looking for. A big thank you to Captain Alex, Isaac and the entire team at Manicsportfishing! We will definitely use them again when traveling back to the keys!

Captain Frank and his team were excellent! Frank spent time with us before we booked to understand exactly what our family of 4 (2 kids, 15 and 11) were looking for. He recommended the pontoon boat and a flexible schedule to allow for fishing and swimming. Casey was our Captain for our morning trip. She was super chill, very friendly and very knowledgeable. She got us on fish (mangrove snapper) right away and helped with all the boys fishing needs so mom and dad could relax. We were able to add an hour to our trip because the kids didn’t want to stop fishing but also wanted to snorkel. Once finished fishing we took a 20 minute boat ride to a snorkel / swim spot. We all went off the boat’s slide, snorkeled with provided gear, swam and enjoyed the water mat. Casey fillet our keepers at the dock and we got to feed the leftovers to the giant Tarpon fish. A definite highlight and great way to end the day! It was a great day! We’ll be back with the team when we return to Marathon!

This was the perfect trip for our family of four. Captain and mate kept our kids engaged while they found their sea legs and our lines baited the entire time. 3 hrs was just the right amount of time for our kids first time out on the open water. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I thank Shad and Arron for ensuring we had a great time and we caught the perfect amount of fish. Will definitely reach back out when we are here again.

Captain Shad and Skeet were on time and ready and did a good job of explaining. They were personably and easy to talk to which is important when being on a boat for 6 or 7 hours. They also were very helpful and patient with baiting our hooks and fixing any reels or poles if they had issues. Also, there was an accidental $200.00 charge that I did not notice or the owner until I got back to the house that we were staying in. I called the owner and he apologized and brought the $200.00 to the house we were staying at in about 30 minutes. It was the best customer service that I have ever experienced and I am 51 years old. Someone hand delivering a refund is unheard of.

This is the only way to go. As an out of state fisherman looking to get some time in on the water I was looking at renting a boat to get some fishing in while on vacation. I chose to charter with Manic instead of renting and what a great decision that turned out to be. With 6 of us we had some seasoned and inexperienced anglers so I picked the reef fishing and as soon as we dropped the anchor Capt Shad had fish at the boat. Even though it was not perfect conditions he made sure to work to keep us with action. He wanted to know what kind of day we were looking for and made sure we all enjoyed. The boat was a pleasure to be on, well maintained and clean. As a captain myself I can highly recommend taking a trip with Manic. It will be the only place we charter with in the future. I specifically want to thank Frank for the great communication with all the details of the trip & Capt Shad for everything.

We had a great time fishing for barracuda and shark. The captain and mate knew where to take us to catch what we were looking for. Within a few minutes, we were catching barracudas one after another. We then moved on to fish for shark. After a few attempts we were able to land a nurse shark. We would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to get out on the water for a few hours and catch some amazing fish.

Great captain & mate! We caught ALOT of snapper (26 yellowtail), and 2 small mahi which sadly had to go back. Of course, I would have loved a variety of fish to eat. Lol!! But was just happy to be catching fish. And overall it was a great day out in the water. Manic sportfishing is highly recommended.

We rented two pontoons with five family members on each. Captains Shad and Casey did a great job working in tandem to take us all on a fun fishing excursion followed by fun snorkel and swim.

I always wanted to catch some Mahi, and these guys made it happen. We knew it would be a tough day of fishing, but the guides worked their tails off to make it a successful trip. By the end of the morning we had reached our bag limit, and made some beautiful memories. This is an incredibly seasoned crew with a lifetime of experience on the water, who will do everything in their control to make your trip a success; Remember, Mother Nature has a mind of her own. This is a once in a lifetime experience in which I was fortunate enough to partake. I learned a ton, and I definitely plan on fishing with these guys in the future.

Had an amazing experience! First time we've been deep seas fishing and would 100% do it again. Captain and 1st mate were extremely knowledgeable and help us reel in 3 Mahi Mahi, that we took to a local restaurant (Lazy Days South) where they prepared it for us. We tipped handsomely because they deserve it.
