Walter and I had an amazing day fishing on Loose Cannon with Captain Chad and mate Aaron. We started out strong and when the currents changed they did everything in their power to ensure we caught fish. So we tried a few different places and it worked! We caught over 40 fish, about 30 keepers and a prized grouper which will be dinner tonight. We can’t thank them enough for such a great experience. We have been on many chapters over the years and this was one of the best. We hope to see them both next December when we visit the Keys again.

Went out on a quick trip with shad and Aaron we had a few of us in the group who have never been out before. These guys were the best they put us on a lot of fish and they were hilarious and very hard working would recommend to anyone was a great time with zero seasickness we also took our catch to Florida steak and lobster house they made us some sushi and grilled and blackened some

We booked a 3 hour fishing trip with Captain Shad and Aaron, and it was one of the best experiences! I’ve never been on a charter before but I can’t see them being any better than this. They knew the area well and were able to bring us right to where the fish were. Most of us had never fished like this before and they were very patient and informative with our group! We even ended up staying for another hour as we were having so much fun.

Our family of 5 was looking for some fun on the water. We certainly found it! We booked the party pontoon boat with the slide to go out and have a little fun. Our Captain Brian was amazing and we had the best day! The only problem was it was only 4 hours and we wanted to stay longer!!! He took us to the perfect spot to snorkel and slide. He even took us to a sunken boat so the boys could see a wreck!! He was so knowledgeable about the waters and made sure we were having a great time! If you are looking for some fun, look no further! From the moment Captain Frank answered my call I knew we would have the best fishing experience. We booked very last minute but this was not a problem. Our great Captain Brian was so accommodating, helping my autistic son to get the best out of our time fishing. We caught so many fish and even caught 4 sharks (we put them back though!) Captain Brian took my 10 year old nephew and I on the 26' pontoon for 3 hours. The fishing started off slow but at the last stop he put us on some fish. We hooked several Tarpon, a Grouper, and Baracuda. My nephew hasn't stopped talking about the huge Tarpon he caught. Thanks Brian

We are from miami Florida, not too far from marathon , FL. Keys. This is our second family fishing charter trip with Manic fishing charter. We had such a great time that we booked our 2nd fishing trip, and again we had a blast. We are a family of 5 and captain Brian was amazing with us. He was very attentive to our fishing sites for the best catch. He was very patient with my little guy helping him with his fishing skills and after a great time of fishing,captain Brian had us ready to take a swim in the beautiful waters. My kids had a blast sliding down the slide into the sea. I highly recommend taking a trip down to marathon and check out Manic fishing charter and ask for captain Brian.. 5 stars for cap. Brian.

Booked Manic while staying at Marathon, I have booked a number of trips in the past to hook into a shark, but over the years have not had any luck to grab a big fish (a lot of smaller ones over the years) we met up with Captain Jim for an 8 AM departure, and headed out on the 28'er. Set up and fished for baitfish and had the shark lines out. Jim did a great job keeping our lines in the water while tending to the big lines. My wife and I caught a number of keepers of different species but spot one did not yield one big bite. Jim pulled up and took us off to a new spot and again got us set up - the tide was better here and pulled out lines our pretty far pretty quick, as we where ending the trip, and pulling the lines in we finally got a hit on the big line. We got on a Lemon Shark, and I can finally tick the box on the big fish - Jim estimated it at around 10 feet and over 200 pounds. Feeling the power is hard to describe. I give them 5 start 1) because Jim was a great addition had a ton of knowledge and kept us fishing. 2) boat was great, 3) even if we did not get the big one we had a great day on the water. Would book again.

We had a fantastic trip! We booked the four hour shark fishing trip and even though conditions were not in our favor that day, Captain Shad made it a fun trip and we learned a lot (don't take bananas on the boat haha). When we return we are definitely booking with Manic again.

Got on the fish and had a great time Trip was great. Captain put us on the fish and the mate did a great job explaining the proper technique on bringing them in. When the bite slowed down we didn't waste any time and went to another nearby spot where the bite was much better. Mate tried several different methods while we were fishing for yellow tails to see if we could get anything else but the yellow tails were the most reliable. Would recommend, captain and mate both put us on the fish and we went home with plenty of fish.

My friend Lynn and I chartered a half day on the 31’ Steiger. The captain was Shad and he was fabulous in taking us to great locations to catch fish. First mate Aaron was so helpful bc we were first timers. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and will definitely book with Manicsport Fishing again!!! Best first experience ever!!!!!!!

While on vacation in the keys we booked two fishing trips with Manic Sport fishing, Frank was the coordinator for both trips. The first trip was a 4-hour tarpon trip with Captain Anthony from 4pm to 8pm on Saturday May 17th. The boat was a 28’ Sea Vee with twin outboards and was very fast. Captain Anthony borrowed this boat from a friend, because his boat was in for repair, although the two boats were very similar. Me and three friends went on this trip. Captain Anthony arrived at the dock just before 4pm, we quickly loaded the fishing gear on the boat and we were off to the fishing spot. The boat was spotless and the fishing gear was first rate. We fished under the seven-mile bridge. There were 5 or 6 other boats fishing between the bridge abutments. We caught a very powerful black tip shark and a large nurse shark. We lost a goliath grouper and maybe a tarpon. We saw a few tarpons hooked, but we did not catch one. We headed back at 8pm. Captain Anthony was very helpful and knowledgeable on fishing technics. He was quiet at first, but opened up later in the trip. On the way back Captain Anthony rescued two people stranded in a boat that would not start. He towed them back to the dock and showed his boating skills by bringing them right up to their dock. Kudos to Captain Anthony.

Our family had the best experience and made some great memories! Captain Anthony went well over our expectations. Great attitude, great skill level. We will be back! Should be rated #1 Captain on the island.

My family talked me into the double decker pontoon instead of a real fishing boat but I’m glad they did, it was a great time! Kasey and her four legged first mate, Kylie, were the best. She put us on the snappers, we just couldn’t catch them… but we still managed a couple keepers. Snorkeling and swim was better than I expected. Good compromise for the whole family.

We didn't fish on Loose Cannon's Charter's; we were rescued by them! We set out for a day of mahi fishing when all our electronics and engine failed. The battery switch on our boat went bad causing our engine to turn off and we lost all electronics. We were completely dead in the water. Thankfully, I saw a boat in the distance and kept waving for help. The Loose Cannon from Manicsportsfishing Charters came to our rescue. Captain Shad boarded our boat ready to do everything in his power to help us. He diagnosed the issue, thought of a way to resolve, and after about 30 minutes he FIXED IT! Mate Aaron was keeping our boats safely tethered together, retrieving tools from the Loose Cannon to help Shad and telling us no worries "we got this"! And they did. I can't thank Shad and Aaron enough! We tried to pay them, but they refused saying that is what we do! "Help each other". I spoke with the owner tonight about the incident. This outfit is ethical, responsible and skilled! Next time, I'm leaving my boat at home (we trailered from Daytona) and chartering the Loose Cannon asking specifically for Captain Shad and Aaron! Thank you so much!

We went out yesterday with Captain Jim and had a great time fishing for mangrove snapper and sharks! We got to touch a lemon shark and enjoyed tasty fish tacos for dinner! Captain Jim was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area and conditions. Our 12 year old niece said “it was the best day of her life” We would recommend to anyone looking to catch some fish to book with Captain Jim! Had an amazing time with Capt. Jim at the end of February. Immediately got us on a school of jacks, then on at least a dozen yellow tail snappers, a cobia, a nurse shark, and even a remora. Gotta say, despite being an Eagles fan, Jim was awesome - very knowledgeable and personable. My son and I had a great time and will definitely book again the next time we’re on the Keys.

We went out with Captain Brian for a four hour fishing and swimming combo trip. Brian was very knowledgeable and worked very hard to make sure we had a great time. It was an especially windy day so he knew several spots that were sheltered from the wind and it helped us tremendously. He also had great recommendations on how to catch the fish and we even caught a few big enough to keep! We took those to a local restaurant and had a great lunch from what we caught! Would definitely recommend the company and Captain Brian for any trips they offer!! Can’t wait to do it again next year!

We went out with Jim today on a shark fishing charter and had a great time. Caught several sharks one being a 250 pounder. We caught several snapper and mackerel and even a cobia while waiting between shark bites. Great captain and took very good care of us.

I was impressed with the patience and grace of Captain Jim with our kids who are 8, 8 and 10, very competitive and happy to terrorize each other. Without hesitation, Jim quietly and calmly prepared hook after hook as he helped each of them reel in more snappers than I could have imagined. The boat is pristine and the ride out in the bay was delightful. The kids were thrilled and sad to think we were not going to catch fish like that back home! I would go back again and again instead of trying to haul our boat and hope that we got good coordinates from other friends to fish. The process of having an experienced fishing captain that nailed it was priceless! Thanks again for everything!
