Reef Fishing Charters are a great way to get on the fish quickly.
While Reef Fishing Charters can yield some large fish on the reef depending on conditions and time of year, the Reef is generally where you go to consistently catch smaller fish that are really great to eat. Since these fish live on the reef, Captain Greg can have you on them nearly 20 minutes from leaving the dock. This is a wonderful choice for families with small children because it keeps them from getting impatient. 20 minutes after leaving the dock you are at the reef ready to fish!
For older anglers who are not comfortable with larger waves or the excitement and sometimes frantic action of offshore trips, the reef is a nice relaxing alternative that is only 7 miles from land. Reef trips can be completed in as little as 4 hours, reducing the cost of your trip and maximizing your fishing time.
Once you have your catch Captain Greg will fillet and bag your fish so you can take it to any number of restaurants in Marathon to cook your catch!

Mangrove Snapper
Mangrove Snapper can be caught on the reef all year round, but they spawn in the summertime making them plentiful, larger than usual, and easy to limit out on. In June/July Captain Greg can take you out on the reef to catch these tasty fish first thing in the morning before heading offshore to catch your Dolphinfish (“Mahi Mahi”).
Yellowtail Snapper
Yellowtail Snapper are famously delicious and a staple of Florida Keys Reef fishing. They can be caught all year round but we often focus on these during the winter months as it takes a little more finesse to catch them versus the Mangrove Snappers. Cooler “winter” weather makes reef fishing all morning and/or afternoon more pleasant than in the warmer summertime months.

Very fun day! Greg and Chris were great with my kids (ages 11, 9, and 7). Never had to wait for bait or touch a fish. Caught plenty of delicious fish that we took to a nearby restaurant to have it blackened, coconut fried, and sautéed. Great trip!
My wife and I had a great time fishing with captain Greg and his first mate! Caught a lot of fish. Non stop action. Greg and Chris were awesome!! Worked hard and are very friendly!! I would definitely recommend them!
