FL Keys 2025 Mahi Catch

Summer is officially here, and so is the summer bite! Being a charter company based in Marathon puts us in the perfect spot to access all the fantastic fishing the Florida Keys is famous for. Want to know what’s biting? Here’s an update on our latest adventures.

Mahi Madness in the Keys

For many anglers, Summer in the Florida Keys means one thing: Dolphinfish, also famously known as Mahi-Mahi. And the bite this year? It’s been absolutely red-hot! We’re consistently finding them on weed lines, under diving birds, and around floating debris. Our Captains are keeping their fingers and toes crossed that it continues.

There have also been hungry schools of Tuna around, as well as the occasional Wahoo or Sailfish. The reef fishing has also been excellent!

Mangrove Snapper Mania

The Mangrove Snapper spawn  is just around the corner as well! Every year, the Mangrove Snappers migrate from the bay to the reef to spawn in the millions. This time of year the fish are bigger than ever and very hungry! It is the best time to fish for Mangrove Snapper on the reef during this annual event.

The Mangrove Snapper bite has been excellent but it is about to get even better!

Our clients are also reeling in delicious Yellowtail and Mutton Snappers, along with a great mix of other species, including Mackerel, Groupers, and Amberjacks.
